National Minimum Wage Increase from 1st October

Please be aware that the National Minumum Wage is increasing and from 1st October 2011 will be as follows:
The main (adult) rate applies to workers aged 21 and over, and will increase to £6.08 per hour.
The NMW development rate applies to 18 to 20-year-olds and will increase to £4.98 per hour.
The 16 to 17 rate applies to workers above school leaving age but under 18, this rate will be £3.68 per hour.
The apprentice rate is for apprentices under 19, or over 19 and in the first year of their apprenticeship. This rate will be £2.60 per hour.
The above rates are likely to be in force until October 2012.
