In the 3 months since the National Living Wage was introduced across the UK, reactions from employers are painting very unclear pictures. According to a research paper published by the Resolution Foundation, since the introduction of the NLW, many companies have seen negligible increases to their wage bill.

In fact, of the employers that were asked “Has the National Living Wage’s introduction this year increased your organisation’s wage bill?” , 43% said it has not had an impact and they do not expect it to.

With the added uncertainty after the UK’s vote to leave the EU, the increases in NLW are set to be monitored closely over the coming years.
