Following the release of the draft Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2016 earlier this year, companies will need to comply with mandatory reporting from October 2016.

Employers with over 250 employees based in the UK, will need to produce and publish reports on the overall gender pay gap figures using both the mean and median. Reports will be published annually along with a narrative explaining any pay gaps and the remedial action intended.

Full draft reporting requirements can be viewed here “Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2016”

For the avoidance of doubt, this legislation is still in draft form and may be amended before being brought into force.
